Minimum Suspension Guidelines update for 2022-23
Appendix IV Minimum Suspensions of the Hockey Alberta Bylaws and Regulations has been revised and released for the 2022-23 season.
Few things to note:
- 7.1 Attempt to Injure when a Match penalty is assessed is a minimum of 3 Games now.
- New minimum suspension for 7.8 Kneeing when a Match penalty is assessed - 3 Games
- New minimum suspension for 8.7 Clipping when a Major or Match penalty is assessed - 1 - 3 Games
- 11.2 Gross Misconduct has gone up to 4 Games (5 games if received in the last 10 mins).
- 11.4 Gross Misconduct results in an indefinite but any suspension but [sic] be at least 5 Games.
- 7.11 Instigator or Aggressor of a fight (Junior & Senior) has gone up per offence.
